do you ever wish you lived in a garden?
this article in the nytimes about mileece petre's garden home in los angeles sounds so perect and idyllic. eating a nectarine off a tree while you shower? i've been working on redecorating my room/house lately, and it's all turning into the garden of sara....
maybe it's all those years spent in a canoe, or my south african family's obsession with plants, but i can't help but love some floral and fauna!

| i can't get enough of rifle paper company's beautiful designs lately. |
 |
| i picked up these birds yesterday at an amazing resale shop and am excited to see how they'll look painted and on a wall. |
 |
| my roomies had me move my hanging vase (remember? ) into the kitchen and i love how cheerful it makes everything. |
now what? the weather is so nice right now and i'm loving having time to relax in this beautiful city before things at school get too wild, preparing il viaggio a reims and le docteur miracle. i've been exploring boystown (the gay area i happen to live in) like never before, making lots of new friends and not being afraid of having late night adventures and new experiences. part of me can't wait for fall so i can wear my new red riding hood coat, currently on its way ;)
i'm also really grateful to kirsten miccoli for capturing my love of gardens and the outdoors in my new headshots. brand new year, here we go!!
